COMPANY PROFILE

Experience a fresh new sound from your hi-fi

You may have some of the greatest musical performances ever recorded in your CD and record collection, but are you experiencing the full ‘live’ effect when you listen to them?

All hi-fi systems are subject to vibration and static build-up, which take more than an edge off the sound before it reaches your ears. Their effects are insidious because you are not always consciously aware of them until they have been removed. Yet a purer, cleaner, more dynamic reproduction that will surprise and delight can be achieved easily and cost effectively by using our products to minimise those distortions.

ProductsEach of our products is designed to complement and enhance your existing hi-fi system and is simple to use. They each contribute to a fresh, new clarity and tonal quality from your hi-fi system, whether you are listening to CD, records or the radio.

We are the world’s leading specialists in the geometry of sound and resonance in materials. Thousands of our products are in daily use with music lovers around the world, including musicians and music and hi-fi reviewers and are recommended by hi-fi companies.

John & Angela RogersRINGMAT DEVELOPMENTS was founded in 1992 for the purpose of manufacturing and marketing RINGMAT, a leading LP record support mat. The company is part of the Quality Records (QR) Group, established in 1982, which also comprises QR Design.

QR Design develops a range of high-quality hi-fi products designed to transform the playback of CDs and LPs. Founding member John Rogers, drawing on over 20 years' experience in sound reproduction, leads the company's research and development programme. The goal of QR Design is to produce products which enhance the sound quality of CDs and LPs played on a variety of hi-fi systems, in order to recreate the experience of the original performance. Ringmat Developments is responsible for delivering those products to the music-loving public.

RingmatRINGMAT is the Group's highly successful flagship product in the field of vinyl record sound reproduction. RINGMAT is the first LP record support which has been specifically designed to generate an accurate, low distortion signal, creating a new standard in LP sound quality.

In addition to other activities in the field of high-fidelity sound reproduction, QR Design has been heavily engaged in the development of RINGMAT, STATMAT, RINGMAT FEET and a number of new products to be marketed by

RINGMAT Developments. Ringmat Feet and other new products, currently under development, will radically transform CD playback still further.

RINGMAT FEET - placed under each 'foot' of a CD player, reduce vibrations and resultant phase distortions. Using RINGMAT technology and geometry, prototypes of these FEET bring dramatic improvements in sound quality, far in excess of any comparable product presently on the market. They can be used with or without RINGMAT ANTI-RESONANCE PLATFORMS;

RINGMAT ANTI-RESONANCE PLATFORMS control resonance's under a CD player, where it interfaces with its support surface. Prototype PLATFORMS demonstrate still further improvements in sound quality;

Angela RogersRINGMAT CABLES provide a more phase-coherent link from the CD player to the amplifier and beyond. RINGMAT CABLES were initially designed for QR Design's development lab, when no cable previously tried offered the required degree of phase accuracy. Compatible with a wide range of components, the cables provide a clarity and musical coherence seldom achieved using even the most advanced cables.

In addition, anti-resonance supports for amplifiers and a number of new products for turntables and vinyl playback are also available or currently being developed.

The QR Group aims to build on the many excellent products already on the market. By incorporating the appropriate RINGMAT accessories in each system, however modest, the listener may be able to bring the original recorded performance into the room, with all the feeling of a 'live' occasion. Ultimately, this should enable all music lovers to achieve a truer, more enjoyable musical experience.
